Appearance:
Mary is a girl of above-average height, and with her relatively short hair, is given an appearance of distinct tomboyish quality. Her hair is virtually black in color, brown only when viewed at certain angles, and she notably possess large, bright green eyes. Her hair is best described as being a lengthy bob-cut with a pair of large, front bangs and stands obstructing her face. Her hair is usually seen with accessories such as ribbons or brooches as well, and features two stylized, paired locks of hair in the back, which mimic the appearance of her bangs in the front.
In mythic, the shape of Mary's hairstyle remains mostly the same in the front, except she has much longer hair overall, which results in it flowing well past her lower shoulders in the back.
Mary's Transformation is a Type 2 Transformation, a trait which technically gives it a customizable appearance. However, her Transformation otherwise typically features a blood-red, armored tunic with wide sleeves, reaching down to her knees, and hakama-like pants worn underneath. This tunic is armored in metal, and particularly features a skirt-like set of scale tassets, dividing in the front and continuing upward along the sides of her waist. Her body armor is split between a metal plate on her stomach, a gorget across her chest, and small round pauldrons upon her shoulders. Though unseeable in the front, Mary's Transformation also features small, almost cupid-like pair of wings on her back also made of grey metal. She features no gloves or other protection on her arms or hands, and wears large brown, round felted boots.
The sword Mary typically wields features a blade with a general profile similar to a straight katana; It is two handed, broader in width, and heavier than a normal sword, with straight groves etched into a blade at regular intervals (This makes it resemble a box-cutter blade, except that a box-cutter blade's grooves are angled at about 60 degrees, whereas Mary's sword's groves are simply perpendicular.) The sword also features retractable blades on its "Bladeless" side; these blades fold in and out of the sword like pocket knives, and acts as a second serrated edge for the user of the sword to utilize. The sword has a cup-hilt rather than a more conventional crossguard or tsuba, and has a braided handle rather than a woven or leather grip. There is a subtle button hidden in the cup of the hilt which can be used to automatically deploy the sword's retractable, serrated edge. And the blades of the serrated edge will naturally fold back into the sword as one tries to sheathe it, or when one passes the hand across it in order to fold them back. The sword's pommel is large and shaped like a flattened sphere, with a leather loop attached intended to attach to the sheathe and help prevent the sword from unsheathing.
Personality:
Mary's most highlighted traits are her realist personality and her commonly head-strong attitude. Especially compared to Ace, Mary is quite keen on getting involved in whatever's going on, and is an openly hard worker; In general, Mary is not someone who likes to pretend she never saw something when it happened right near her. Something happens, she helps. And if she doesn't help she berates whichever party she feels needs it. She is both diligent and caring in nature, and absolutely driven by her willingness to be helpful. However, this doesn't mean that she is, per se, the friendliest kid around the block. As a person who can be quite outgoing and willing to speak her mind, Mary is one to be easily enraged by stupidity and/or obvious lies, and obviously doesn't take well to insults--she is not afraid to get rough if she needs to. Mary is quite known to talk with confidence when she feels comfortable. But, when something makes her uncomfortable, this is where Mary instead starts to act much quieter, if almost submissive. If Mary starts to lose confidence, a flip will switch within her and she'll start to do things such as not make eye contact, mumble to herself, and overall just keep herself as small and quiet as possible. Her personality can be compared to a gumball; Hard and Tough on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. And Mary's shell often isn't that tough to crack, because she finds herself easily weirded out by awkward situations and/or Crazy People (Particularly Angela,) which is likely at least partially the result of her not having confidence in how to handle these kinds of situations. Even beyond this, Mary's confidence is marked by its inconsistent, if not merely opportunistic nature, where it can be displayed in full view yet easily wane away and disappear when the situation changes. This can injure her bravery within stressful situations, yet in Timelord, many of the ordeals she will face are ones that will require a great deal of confidence and bravery in order to overcome. To have one's confidence challenged merely because the situation isn't clear-cut is not a good place to be in, and as such, Mary must toughen up and be prepared to face anything, regardless of what it may be.
