Leo

Called “Leos” Exclusively by Paul, Leo is a relatively small light-blue bird about the size of a Parrot, with a handful of white accents around the eyes, beak, and belly. He has a head and beak most reminiscent to that of an Eagle, but the beak but is wider and flatter and less hooked. Leo has a crown, but it looks more unkempt like bed hair than it does regal. His eyes are a purplish blue, and his face allows both eyes to be facing forward as opposed to the side of his head. He has a pudgy body with a large belly, yet his body is quite slender horizontally, and he has thick legs. His tail feather are truly long and ribbon like, however, they are tied back in a loop with a blue string. Another quirk that might not be seen is that his wings are pose-able and able to grab stuff, like farfetch’d.

Personality:

Leo is intelligent and understands human speech, enough so that one can have a ‘conversation’ with him, even though he cannot speak himself, he will understand and react appropriately. He is independent minded and generally thinks for himself when alone, but is also relatively quick to offense. Outside of this, while technically Hera’s pet, their relationship is more like two friends. Leo is Hera’s first line of handling things and Hera does not put up well with Leo being harmed; Leo handled Zeus twice in place of Hera, but when Zeus defeats Leo, Hera takes things more seriously. Outside of this, Leo loves meat, and likes to dance and especially break-dance while holding mini top-hat upon his head and cane just for him.

Powers

Transformation

Leo’s Transformation takes the form of a giant bird with predominantly Black plumage, with a handful of blue feathers mixed in. He is easily around 10 feet tall in this form while standing idly alone, and is so large that is effortless for him to carry someone while flying. His eyes turn a bloodshot red, and his tail feather, which was once a streamer-like ribbon, turns into a large sword-like blade of a tail, which he uses by spinning himself violently in combat. Obviously his talons become much more dangerous weapons, and his beak becomes sharp as well.

Healing Breath

Leo’s signature power is in fact part of Transfomration even though he normally uses it in base form, as well as the fact that it is implied to be a power of his race. He does this by simply Transforming Partially; Transforming only the organs within and keeping his exterior the same. Whatever the cause, it has its limitations—Even though it can cause miracles for Humans, it cannot heal Hybolians. Additionally, if the Target is on their death bed, then this power cannot revive them.

Destructive Breath

In his Transformation, and only in his complete Transfomration, Leo can fire beams of mass destruction from his mouth. They are bluish-white in color, and when they come into contact with their Target they create a spherical explosion surrounding it, destroying everything within.

Aether Sphere

The power uses Boost Jump’s Energy as a base for its power. It creates a bubble surrounding Leo that expands out of him, protecting him from harm and pushing away any enemy close to him.

Pyro-Duality

Leo is a Pyro-Dualic, which lets him freely create, manipulate, and destroy and flame within his physical contact. In combat, Leo envelops himself in Blue Fire to allow him to enter a phoenix-like form. He uses it to enhance the power of his beak attacks in the form of meteor tackles and also enflames his sword with it.

Pyro-Destructive Breath

Leo can ignite his Destruction Beams to enhance their power, as well.

Boost Jump

Leo is the first Boost Jump user in the series. He uses it for offense and speed. Using a Boost Jump-infused Tail Slash, he knocked Zeus into the sky with a single swing. He was able to dodge Zeus’ lightning with Boost Jump as well while in the air.

Hybolian Sacred Forms; First form—Alpha, form of aid.

When Leo enters Alpha, his body gains glowing white cracks throughout his body and his bloodshot eyes turn white instead of red. As with all Alpha users, it drastically improves all of one’s attributes and places them to a much greater level and significaly increase the user’s ability to use Boost Jump.

Skyfall

A triple combo of Transformation, Duality, and Alpha. Leo uses all three at once to dive at the target at an extreme altitude. It gets its name from the V shape Leo makes while diving that extends far beyond his own wingspan, which makes it seem like he’s taking the sky down along with him.

Hybolian Sacred Forms; Second form—Beta, form of despair.

The Beta form is rarely discussed, and rarely seen; it is essentially an advanced stage of Alpha. In terms of how it’s preformed; the user draws in power into its body to a much greater degree than Alpha. However, it’s not that simple. When the user Transitions from Alpha to Beta, the energy they absorb causes them to lose their sanity, turning them into mindless beasts. The energy of Beta is signified by black energy, as opposed to white. This is because the user has absorbed too much of the world’s energy, and as a result, when the Hybolian enters Beta, Space and Time within the near area begin to collapse. The Hybolian’s body begins to warp and distort into an awful creature as well. Because of these Transformations it is not guaranteed that any benefit will come out of it, and many serious detriments are possible; the user may destroy everything they cherish instead of the enemy, or even the world. As a result very few Hybolians bother to learn this stage, as it is generally considered better to die than risk Beta’s cons. Even if Beta has been preformed, it’s overall after-effects are much more severe than Alpha, causing just as much damage to the person’s mind as it does to the body. It can take years in Old Niag for a Beta user to recover their sanity.

Leo’s Beta, he gains a second much larger pair of wings and his first pair become more hand-like, like giant fists, and he gains a more humanoid posture. He gains feathers on his legs like a falcon, and his crest feathers become puffier and more pronounced like a headdress. His tail splits from one to three blades, and his entire body becomes pitch-black. He usually does not fly in this state.
