Appearance:
Hanessine has a broad and generally endomorph body type that is slightly below average in height, and has short curly black hair, dark-greenish eyes, and a wide nose. He wears a black long-sleeved shirt, dark blue jeans and black dress shoes. Additionally, Hanessine wears a wide, full-length, black and blue striped cape with his personal emblem upon his back—The spade and silver moon.
With Awides, Hanessine gains armor made of an unnatural, navy blue color—With ornate, intense green highlights etched into the armor. He gains an (ornate) breastplate, and brazier-like pauldrons that are augmented with green flames, which burn outward and circle around his head in a helix occasionally. He has full-length (ornate) gauntlets made completely out of metal, an intricate, plate-and-chain fauld, and metal boots. He has a helmet resembling a winged Spartan helm with an additional silver crescent-shaped headcrest going down from the center of the helm.
Awides itself resembles a cross between a nodachi and a trident: it has a hilt that goes halfway when given the full length of the weapon, followed by a katana-like blade, with the tip of the blade being in the shape of a trident (Proportionate to the object’s total length.) Awides is able to shift the length of its hilt, allowing it to go full length (Essentially just making it a trident) or shrinking it to allow for more blade (This makes in resembles a skinny, incredibly long katana—Law’s sword from One Piece is a decent idea on how the shape would look)
Persona:
Hanessine is a very level-headed, soft-spoken and even tempered person; he is not one to expressly show emotions of anger or sorrow even if the atmosphere around him is dire and frantic. While Hanessine is occasionally amused by the bouts displayed by the people around him and has a sense of humor, he will a not personally goof off nor strive for things to give him comic relief; Hanessine basically prefers a grim, serious, and emotionless tonality, but doesn’t attempt to diffuse drama. He does not seek loyalty—he lets people do or think whatever they want, but always gets what he wants in the end. So much as being unwilling or incapable of preventing Hanessine’s ambitions will be enough for him to consider you an ally, regardless of what you think of him. Furthermore, Hanessine will act lenient, gentle, and kind to people he considers an ally. When it comes to Hanessine’s actual goals however, he is inherently hellbent, yet casual; Absolutely nothing will stand in his way, but he will get there in his own time and pace. To ensure he has as many allies as possible, he is shifty and unopen about his intentions.
Stelborne:
Hanessine is the owner of the forsaken land of Stelborne, as well as its essential creator (Hybolians technically can’t make land). Stelborne was never meant to house life forms, let alone a civilization. Instead Hanessine built it so that he would have a place to work with—a platform for which he can experiment and build. Far beyond the reach of all except himself, it houses something known as the Dreamrealm.
The Dreamrealm is a matrix-like dimension/universe that is physically comprised of hundreds if not thousands of Shades combined; Each Shade contributes memories of the being to which it was created from, and these memories come together in a nexus that simultaneously displays both the people and places that are in those memories. If a Shade has memories of New York for example, the Dreamrealm will contain a copy of New York exactly how the Shade remembers it (How that person remembered New York at exactly the time when the Shade initially was created,) so the entirety of the land within it therefore is proportionate to the amount of memories invested within it.
Facts about the Dreamrealm:
⦁ The Dreamrealm only physically exists when Hanessine wishes it to exist. This translates to the Dreamrealm only existing when Hanessine wishes to enter it himself. Because of this, the only possible way to enter it is if the head honcho of the Dreamrealm is physically present within it. As Hanessine is extremely powerful, this makes the realm nearly impossible to make use of if he does not allow you to use it.
⦁ The Dreamrealm is Hanessine’s preferred base of operations since the above point makes it ideal in terms of anti-penetration/security. Although the world within the Dreamrealm is comprised of memories, Hanessine has been able to modify it so that it also contains some of his more valuable “assets” stored within it.
⦁ The Dreamrealm can be considered to be Hanessine’s kingdom as there are “people” actually inside it, but virtually all of them aren’t actually among the living. Instead they are the memories of people; They are Shades after being admitted within the Dreamrealm. In many ways they are copies of the people they are based off of, in the sense that they look like the person, they think like the person, they consider themselves to be that person, and most importantly, that have all the memories of that particular person. But there’s an important difference—the Shades within the Dreamrealm may have all the experiences of that person, but they are unable to have any new experiences of their own. Their purpose is to be a memory, etched permanently on file within the sands of time, so anything new that they learn or experience will quickly drop off and be forgotten to keep the Shade’s existence unaltered. A Shade of a man created 50 years ago will forever remain the same. If a loved one that Shade knew had died in this time, the Shade will never be able to acquire the information no matter how much you negotiated the truth with it, and will therefore believe that person is still alive eternally. The Shade of a deceased love one may make you happy to see, but remember that you can’t take them with you and no matter how much time passes they will remain the same every time you visit them, both physically, mentally, and in the experiences they possess.
⦁ There are actual people within the Dreamrealm—that is non-Shade people physically capable of leaving. But many of these people reside within the Dreamrealm because they are sick and dying outside of it—Cancer-ridden, possessing fatal wounds in battle, virtually anything that would only give them from days to hours of life left if they were in real life. The Dreamrealm can prevent all of their deaths by using their own memories of themselves when they were healthy, causing them to physically look and be healthy within the Dreamrealm. Though even the weakest and most physically disabled person can be strong here, if they ever leave the Dreamrealm all of the effects were off—To leave they would resume dying. As such many members can’t actually afford to leave, although Hanessine doesn’t force them to stay.
⦁ If Hanssine choses to have the Dreamrealm cease to exist, then everyone inside it also ceases to exist only until Hanessine chooses to recreate the Dreamrealm. Hanessine cannot pick and choose who does and does not exist within his Dreamrealm—Everything exists or nothing exists, although he can forcibly boot people out of it.
⦁ Non-Hanessine People have power over the Dreamrealm—Their minds and memories are assimilated into it much like all the Shades’ memories. But in addition to that, any individual’s subconscious directly affects the world around them, similar to as though they were actually in a dream. This can be dangerous, because like in a dream the thoughts can be incoherent, and hence drive the person to act incoherently and get sidetracked (With potential to permanently drive them insane.) Thoughts on fears and nightmares can be forced to manifest themselves in the realm if the given person isn’t careful, while thoughts focused on good or beneficial aspects only have a small chance of happening. Any physical modification to either themselves, someone else, or the world around only lasts until it exits their thought process—If you forget about things you have done here, they will become undone. On the other hand, delusionally believing you have superpowers is a good thing here.
⦁ Hanessine however is complete and utter God and has no trouble selectively shaping reality.
Hanessine’s interests:
Hanessine can be considered a scholar and a scientist, focusing on subjects relating to the Astatos—Corrupted beings between life and death, once mortal, now physically and mentally warped into a never-ending quest to find a form of spiritual stability. Hanessine is interested in researching the possibility of creating a new form of being, one that adds a new dimension when it comes to the simple concepts such as life and death—And one of unspeakable power.
It is an important note that life and afterlife within Niag are artificial concepts; Deondavra split the Hybolian into an earthly and spiritual component, explicitly so that mankind could live and die. Astatos are imperfect products of Deondavra’s system, so it could be said that Hanessine is picking up after Deondavra’s pieces in a way. That’s not how Hanessine sees it though. Hanessine sees himself dealing with imperfect beings that reflect upon an imperfect creator. Hanessine has found vastly more flaws in Deondavra’s work than even he is aware of—or should be aware of. Now, Hanessine wishes to create perfection.
Within the deepest crevices and pockets within the Dreamrealm lie Hanessine’s test subjects—Astatos that he has captured for study, due to interesting yet malformed powers. Some of which have the power to destroy the world (outside world) if not destroyed or at least properly contained. One of which is Nithilkul.
One thing that comes apparent with Astatos is that they do not properly represent a singular being—Astatos frequently display characteristics of multiple people and/or animals at once. This is because the souls of man still contain essences of their past lives (And Astatos commonly capitalize on it): In one past life, you were a cockroach, in another you were a princess, a dog named scruffy in another. As an Astatos, therefore, you are a cockroach/princess/scruffy/person hybrid simultaneously with an incoherent thought process due to all of those minds working independently of each other. Astatos also frequently displace the lives of those yet to be: If you die today, 500 years from now you might reincarnate into a construction worker building a spaceship—If you became an Astatos you may display this character. Hanessine knows how to read a Non-Astatos beings and figure out who their past lives were, by using the information gained on Astatos. It’s even possible to force the person to become one of their past lives. He can also appropriate the talents of past lives for either himself or another to make use of; For example, if one of the past lives of an individual were a dragon, Hanessine can call upon it to allow the breathing of fire.
Hanessine also has the ability to read the information stored within his shades to re-create that person within the outside world, outside of the Dreamrealm. This process has 100% accuracy—As long as the Shade has perfect information on the person it was created from, the re-created clone will look exactly like the individual, think exactly like the individual, have the same exact personality as the individual, and will have experiences identical to that of the given individual. People are animals created this way are subject to getting new experiences unlike Shades, so basically they are perfect clones—identical in every way.
Planned Background:
Powers:
Awides:
Hanessine’s weapon, Awides, is a prestigious weapon with a slew of powers exclusive to it, to which Hanessine can use on top of his own. The most evident ability is the power to manifest armor for its user; Awides is responsible for Hanessine’s armor and therefore must be wielded for it to be summoned. The second power is the ability to insert ideas or thoughts into a target’s mind without them realizing they’re being tampered with. The final power is the ability to condense or solidify the air; both around the wielder as well as in remote locations.
⦁ Condensation.
When Awides condenses air, it turns it into liquid—liquid somewhat like water. Liquid produced in this way is, however invisible to the naked eye even should it be a simple puddle. When the surrounding atmosphere is turned into a much more literal sea of air, this liquification can cause objects to suspend in midair

functionally as they would be when submerged in water. Even more notably is that this can greatly reduce the mobility of all the objects suspended in it, almost as if they were put into slow motion. When condensing or solidifying the air, Awides doesn’t change the temperature, which when combined the lack of visual evidence means there is no real way of knowing when it’s active outside of the suspension effects.
⦁ Solidification
When Awides solidifies the air, much like when condensing it is difficult to get a sense of when the power is active outside of feeling its intended effects; However, the air solidified by Awides can be seen through a trick of the light. The solidified air can be considered a form of crystal.
Trollskap:
“Listen, listen to the echoes of a million souls—In the palm of your hand!”
Most obviously, Hanessine’s powers include the ability to create Shades from another being—Living or corpse. The Shades themselves on Stelborne have this power, creating copies of victims of all who trespass. While it can be assumed that the Shades can only create newer Shades from corpses of reasonable quality, there is no defined limit to when Hanessine can no longer create shades from the dead. When the iron in your armor contains the iron that once formed the bones of a warrior aged millions of year ago, forgotten in the sands of time, it’s time for the memory of that warrior to awake when Hanessie sets foot on the battlefield. Your entire body is composed of physical mass that was once part of another being, millions of times over. When creating Shades, Hanessine calls upon their forgotten memories, bringing them to light—and out for blood. You begin leaking Shades and world becomes drenched in the black fluid that comprises the Shade’s physical bodies. Hanessine will not stop creating Shades from you and you alone until he has a torrential flood of Shades, bringing you knee-deep in your own legacy—The legacy you thought was exclusively yours.
⦁ Shade Summoning:
Hanessine can freely create shades out of any person he wishes; Hanessine only needs to be in the presence of the person for this ability to work, so it does not require any form of physical contact, nor can it be blocked or simply avoided by any known means. The shade spits out of the person he wishes to create a shade out of. The only requirement needed to create the shade is for Hanessine to simply decide about whether he wants to create a shade of the person or not in his mind. Hanessine can not only create a shade of the person in his presence, but can also create shades that are re-creations of everything that person previously was; This does not mean past incarnations, but rather the previous life forms that person’s body’s physical mass was once a part of, such as the cow from the beef that person ate. If just a single atom of carbon in that person’s bones was once a part of a dinosaur, then Hannesine can create a shade of that dinosaur. Shades possess the memories of the things that are made from for as long of a timespan as the matter that they were based off of was part of their counterpart’s bodies.
⦁ Shades are not innately copies of the person, meaning that they are not and do not function as clones, nor are they able to imitate their counterparts (This is possible, albeit only possible, in the Dreamrealm.) Shade bodies are composed of nothing but black liquid-like matter that stores their information, and while Shades can occasionally move on their own, their bodies are distinctly independent from what they were. Hannesine can telekinetically “waterbend” his shades or turn them into Soldiers to fight with, but these Shade Soldiers do not invoke the powers or abilities of the people they are based off of.
⦁ Memoricide
⦁ Malevomento
⦁ Eternal Prime
By creating a Shade of himself or an ally, and by wrapping that person within the body of that Shade, their strength at the very point becomes preserved; this means that if the target can no longer be weakened—if the target becomes injured later on in the battle, it will not affect their ability to fight. If the target uses an ability that would expend a great amount of energy or disable some of their powers/abilities, these side-effects become nullified. The Shade does this by replacing the strength that has been lost with its own, “filling” that weakness with the strength it has memorized. This strength can also be used against a target by capturing a target at their weakest, preventing them from gaining additional strength.
⦁ Emotion-fueling.
