Overview
Paula C[aeser] Athame, most commonly referred to as just Athame, is a relatively young Hybolian that is largely involved with Ameniah and Jugenoir. Athame is responsible for Neathenizing the two countries’ lands. And she is also the 1st generation Trollskap holder for Ameniah, which means that she was the first person to ever be able to Transform, use Duality, or use Soul-Gene—in addition to being responsible for the fact that everyone there can use it. In further addition to this, Athame founded the religion best known as the Dualic church, or informally known as the church of Athame. This religion is one of the main sources of conflicts between characters in Timelord.odt. She’s technically responsible in protecting Ameniah, albeit assuming she’s interested in protecting it. Regardless, it means that Athame inevitably plays a role in dealing with the established villain of Timelord.odt, Zeus.
Appearance
Athame usually wears a white square neckline tunic with long, open sleeves and a green trim at the cuffs and collar. Over this tunic she wears a low-hanging toga that is pitch black in color, and slings loosely over her left shoulder, to the point where it exposes her right breast and a small part of her stomach. This toga is fastened by a belt and continues down her waist to form a knee-length skirt that splits into an upside-down V-shape, with a green trim similar to her tunic. Underneath this she has an ankle-length pleated white skirt, and high-heeled leather boots. Athame’s hair is silvery-white in color and her eyes are dark green. Her hairstyles is asymmetrical, with her right-half flowing downward just around her eye while her left half being upward, then downward, similar to Pegasus in Yu-Gi-Oh or Rangiku in Bleach (most similar to Rangiku). Athame additionally has two black laces attached to her right eyelash.
Athame can also summon two wings made entirely of ice upon her backside. These ice wings have a greenish tint and can turn into smaller studs on her back that radiate white fog. In combat, Athame frequently summons a leaf-shaped breastplate while fighting with a Xiphos in her left hand, and a Spatha for her right hand. Athame’s wings serve as sheathes for these weapons. Furthermore, her tunic is only black in Mythic— Athame’s attire is mono-white in Timelord.odt.

thame was keen on finding someone who she could compare herself to. Someone of the same caliber as herself, if not even greater. Athame was arrogant, sure, but one fruit that came from her arrogance is that she piled the nobles and peasants together. Everyone else was the same to her. Listening to the nobles talk down to peasants made her stomach curl. They’re no different. Hypocrites. All of them are pitiful. Athame came to favor the peasants over her own kin because at least they were humbler.
By the time Athame had turned ten she really began to intermingle with peasants, because she had a goal in mind: If she couldn’t find a peer, she would create one (It especially didn’t help her cause with the Nobles that she was just a little girl looking down on them.) Athame was committed to training a group of fellow children in the ways of mathematics and playing instruments, but things did not go smoothly. This was for two reasons: The first was that no one approved of Athame intermingling with peasant children. The children’s adults hated the nobles, and the nobles in-turn considered peasants to be filth. This also caused Athame to a low approval rating amongst most nobles on top of peasants (Basically everyone). The second and more critical reason is because not even the children she tutored shared her goal. Most of the kids just wanted to do things such as play with her toys, use her money, or get her to do things that peasants normally weren’t allowed to do. Even Athame felt some happiness by making other people happy, and she let this go on for a while because of it. It wasn’t satisfying however when it really started to get out of hand. When Athame started to feel exploited she became less nice about it and much stricter. She reinforced her tutoring and dragged them to the classroom, but the kids absolutely hated it. They began insulting her, lamenting her, and they did everything they could to cut ties. Losing them hurt Athame emotionally, but she walked out of her puddle of tears bitter but with her head held up high, coming to terms with the realization that the only thing she got out of this was getting exploited. That she was nothing but a footstool for them. A tool, not a person, and she was determined for it not to happen again. She put her tail between her legs and returned to noble society, but at this point her eyes had widened. These nobles did not respect her any more than the kids did. Athame found herself forced into an arranged marriage by the age of twelve.
That was the last thing she was going to do. Get lovey-dove with a pig she neither knew nor cared about? A worthless, dim-witted straight thinker that would never be the equal she wanted to find? Completely waste her life objective? Not to mention the fact that he’s sure to never care about her in general, let alone about what she wants. She’d rather kill herself than live such a damnable fate. She was not about to let herself get chained down. Athame was already rejecting society, but this was just outright disrespectful. It taught Athame that her parents never really cared for her. They were nice, but they didn’t care how she felt. Her parents were the only people who seemed to care about her talents, but this betrayal made her blood boil. Athame took a dagger, (an athame :3) shoved it through her father’s throat, and gutted his neck.
Athame has never cried about losing her dad. Not one tear, not even years afterward when she looks back on what she did. The only thing Athame regrets is that she did not fully think through what she was doing. She had exile herself to get away with the crime, and she could have prepared a bit so it wouldn’t have been so short-notice.
An additional note is that Athame wouldn’t have held any particular hatred to the groom, because he wouldn’t have been his fault they were getting married. It’s her dad’s fault. All her dad’s fault, and that’s the only person Athame would’ve felt anger towards.
One thing Athame likes are animals. You don’t compare yourself to your pet dog/cat. You don’t overthink what your pet is doing when it snuggles up on the couch. Most animals are simple creatures. Your relationship is one of unconditional love, and nothing specific really changes the nature of the relationship as it does with humans. Leos was Athame’s pet bird ever since she was little, and the two love each other very very much. Athame wasn’t about to leave him behind.
She was able to escape her home without her mother noticing, but by midnight she was running away from soldiers with Leos in hot pursuit of her. Fortunately, melee combat was one of the many skills Athame was prodigious at. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really matter how good you are with a sword when you’re twelve years old and you’re facing a platoon of soldiers, especially one with archers to back them up. Athame fought hard with two xiphos in each fist, but soon she was forced to surrender. They broke Leos’s neck on scene, arrested her, and took her to a cell. In that Jail cell she was met with her groom; the soldiers let him go into the jail cell with Athame’s arms bound alongside a sack over her head. He removed the sack, then beat her senseless with a metal rod while spewing verbal insults straight at her face throughout the night. And in the morning, Athame was shoved into a leather bag alongside a monkey, a viper, a rabid dog and Leos’s corpse, then cast out to sea to drown.
The story above isn’t complete yet, but here are some ideas for Timelord.odt using what I have so far:
⦁ Dualic religion is also known as the Church of Athame, because Athame founded it. Ancient Ameniah despised Athame for what she did, and just thinking about what I could be write further (of the above story), it’s likely that Athame did more than just kill her father and break social norms later, particularly when she returned to Ameniah after they tried to kill her. If I were beaten, stuffed in a bag with the corpse of my childhood pet, and hurled into the ocean to die, I probably wouldn’t be so forgiving, you know? Especially if I came back with supernatural powers with which to take revenge. If Athame was considered to be an outright evil person, this would be a good reason for Ancient Ameniah to actively reject her religion. Their descendants keeping the bad blood even during modern times. Many modern religions, particularly involving Christianity, do not get along very well with religions such as Islam and Judaism even after a thousand years. Ameniah itself would effectively be synonymous with Christianity, and Belrock like Hitler. The only problem with this idea is: do we really want to go this route?
⦁ Athame probably wanted to establish a religion because she ultimately did want to improve her wretched world, at least to some extent. A religion makes sense because it’s a good way to teach people across many generations. The idea of King Spirits makes sense too because Athame was also probably fed up with mankind and wouldn’t have wanted to teach people personally, given her bad experiences.
⦁ A flavorful approach to Kings Spirits would be: 1) The spirit of Leos, her childhood friend. 2) The spirit of the wolf whose fur was used to make the sack over her head. 3) The spirit of the ox whose hide was used to make the bag she drowned in. 4) The spirit of the dog, 5) The spirit of the snake, and 6) the spirit of the monkey, all which of whom drowned with her. Athame would be using their souls as emissaries for her religion. There should be a seventh spirit, but who would it be? The spirit of her father doesn’t sound like it would make sense to me.
⦁ Leos is the Pyro-Dualic spirit, Fuul is the Terra-Dualic spirit, Tuls is the Aquo-Dualic spirit, Mahm is the Necro-Dualic spirit, Dolt is the Ferro-Dualic spirit, Urse is the Aero-Dualic Spirit, and Gret is the Electro-Dualic spirit. These names were chosen outside the context of the above story. Leos is actively shown to be closer to Athame than anyone else; I never had any intention of writing Athame to be close to any of the King Spirits other than Leos.
⦁ Athame wasn’t really meant to be a lovable character, and being good at everything and not having misfortune feels right in terms of how I want the reader to feel. Being good at everything also reflects how there are many different forms of Duality.
⦁ The prophecy of the blades is not going to happen, but what I still might do is say that characters with the last names of ritual blades are directly descended from ancient Ameniah nobles. So far, there is one other character besides Athame: Tasha Misericord. She’s a Dualic spy working for Ameniah. Kris is not descended because it’s a first name, not a last name.
⦁ I want to say that Athame is infatuated with Deondavra because he might be the person Athame had longed for. It doesn’t make sense yet given what’s written and probably never will, since then she might’ve abandoned Ameniah in favor of spending the rest of her days working as his subordinate.
Abilities/Powers/Techniques
Overview:
Although still relatively young Hybolian, Athame is considered a formidably powerful woman, even among the Achtell (Something that may be admitted to personally by Deondavra). While her powers can generally be considered flashy and large-scale, the core of her strengths are defensively minded rather than being all-powerful; Her powers overall grant her immense potential to counter foes' abilities, and even more so the ability to foil her opponents' plans at every possible turn. Athame's capabilities extend even beyond her own power level to make her undefeatable by technicality. However, one of Athame's weakpoints is a reliance on other people's weakpoints in order to combat them effectively. In other words, Athame is weak to people without weaknesses. This is particularly due to the fact that Athame does not wield powers that are effective at overpowering foes with sheer force.
